　　1526年，英格兰国王亨利八世腻烦了年老的妻子，看中绮年玉貌的安妮·布莱恩。安妮拒绝了亨利八世，国王大发雷霆，赶走安妮的心上人哈里，恩威并施，把安妮提升为随从女官。亨利八世继续展开他的求婚攻势。大臣卡迪纳经过主教来保护国王和王后的婚姻，没有成功。亨利八世的秘书克隆威尔为讨国王欢心，极力帮国王打点仳离手续。国王把握了教权，掉臂一切，强娶安妮为妻。未几，见异思迁的享利八世又看中了标致的珍妮，安妮生气已极，赶走珍妮。国王也怀恨在心，指使克隆威尔捏造安妮与人私通的罪名，终极把安妮正法。
