　　剧情梗概：描写查理成功地抢劫了新墨西哥的银行，但在抢劫进程中碰到了很多意想不到的事，且这笔钱是黑手党预备抢劫的，这样他就成了警方和黑手党的配合仇敌。最初他凭聪明才干将黑手党炸死，并摆脱警方照顾赃款溜掉了。
　　大盗查理预备实施一次抢劫：新墨西哥银行。但在此进程中却遭受了各种不顺。首先，他盗窃的汽车被人认了出来；其次，他放置在银行的外线也被打死。最糟的是，他的妻子在抢劫中负了伤，没法一路逃窜，因而，他只得将妻子留在汽车里，然后引爆汽车，自己单独一人逃走。后来，查理得知黑手党也预备抢劫他抢得手的这笔钱，是以他现在既是差人的追捕方针，同时也是黑手党的追杀工具。为弄到假护照，查理让其朋友哈曼更调了妻子的牙科病历。然后，为了撤除黑手党派来追杀他的莫利，他又施狡计，让莫利相信钱藏在富人梅纳德的家中，致使莫利上当被骗，而被炸死。最初，带着赃款的查理摆脱了差人，消失得无影无踪。
