　　居住在美国芝加哥的弗雷德·克劳斯（Vince Vaughn 饰）是一个滔滔不停甚至有些自豪的家伙，更使人想不到的是，他还有一个名叫尼克（Paul Giamatti 饰）的兄弟，居然是现役的圣诞老人。两兄弟从小性情悬殊，与善良的弟弟分歧，弗雷德无私刻毒。在圣诞节前夜，他预备开设一家赌场，可是仍有5万美圆资金没有到位。在这关键时辰，弗雷德被小矮人威利（John Michael Higgins 饰）带到北极。由于圣诞时代过于忙碌，圣诞老人和他的伙伴们忙得不成开交，是以请来弗雷德帮手预备圣诞礼物。看在钱的份上，弗雷德答应了弟弟的请求。
