　　故事发生在悠远的未来，边幅平平的女孩朱庇特·琼斯（米拉·库尼斯 Mila Kunis 饰）自幼失怙，现在她以茅厕清洁工的身份在茫茫人海中奋力图生。谁知毫无征象的一天，朱庇特的命运完全改变，来自外太空的“半兽人”赏金猎人凯恩（查宁·塔图姆 Channing Tatum 饰）将其劫持，而这一切都与朱庇特与生俱来的奥秘基因有关。话说在浩大宇宙的最深处，存在着一个耸峙数千亿年的埃布拉赛克斯王朝，在前代女王归天后，顺位第一继续人的巴勒姆（埃迪·雷德梅尼 Eddie Redmayne 饰）莅祚，野心勃勃地起头了他的邪恶计划。可是朱庇特具有和前代女王最为接近的血缘，从而对巴勒姆的王位组成了威胁。
