◎简 介
1942年4月，二战时代，大西洋上，德军战舰采纳“狼群”战术，令盟军损失惨重。美国水兵上尉泰勒（马修?麦康纳 Matthew McConaughey 饰）因抗敌表示出色，曾被许诺提升艇长，可是却因故不能如愿。这时忽然传来敌情，泰勒临危受命，登上S-33老爷级潜艇履行奥秘使命，批示官为上尉迈克（比尔?帕克斯顿 Bill Paxton 饰），同业的还有哈什（哈威?凯特尔 Harvey Keitel 饰）上尉和库南少校等。经过勘测，一艘德军受创潜艇U-571，正在发出求救信号。S-33的使命是伪装成一艘德军的维修舰，以维修作保护，从U-571上获得德国最早辈的译码装备。不外，由于S-33年久失修，水箱等装备已到退役期，若潜入200米以下恐有危险，可是为了完成使命，泰勒等人还是谨慎驾驶，狙击了德国军舰，但正在此时，德军的鱼雷也逼近了U-571，他们命悬一线，生死未卜……
