◎简 介
圣诞节前夜，一位穿着表露的单身女子在酒店高层房间中神气模糊，她来到阳台上，翻身坠落……刚过50岁生日的黑人警察罗杰（Danny Glover 饰）负责此案，他发现坠楼女子是自己越战时的同伴麦克之女。警局派遣瑞格（梅尔·吉布森 MelGBson 饰）辅佐罗杰，瑞格才能出色，可是比来堕入落空妻子的哀痛心情中没法自拔。这对新同伴很快就为瑞格处理题目标鲁莽方式大吵，也许正如瑞格所说，这是一座疯狂的城市，大家都试图自杀。
随着观察不竭深入，罗杰与瑞格发现坠楼事务背后的真相超越了他们的控制：本来美国中情局在越战时建立特种军队，针对越共的毒品买卖停止渗透、破坏，战后，这批特种兵操纵昔时的买卖网大举贩毒，而麦克由于波折毒品团体好处遭到杀戮。罗杰与瑞格虽然找到了偏向，可是将毒品团体摧毁明显困难重重。
