历经无数次战役的退伍老戎马克（Cuba Gooding Jr. 小库珀?古丁 饰）及其所率领的佣兵军队从CIA接到一项奥秘的使命：美国位于中东的沙巴卡尝试室遭到地震攻击，与外界通讯完全中断，为了救援被困科学家，他们和CIA委派来的卡德尔博士（Taryn Manning 饰）配合前往变乱地址。
