这是加拿大近年来最疯狂的可骇电影，某种水平上像是一部由于生活的改变而致使友谊破裂的警示剧。五个死党汉子，在履历婚姻、工作等一系列现实的洗礼以后，某个周末集会时，在林子里发现了一个诡异的通道，这个通道将指引他们走向恐惧、走向变节、直至灭亡……
这些年有很多可骇电影以发生在与世隔断的林间小屋作为舞台布景，而且构成了一定形式的套路，但《通道》先行吹响了洗牌的军号。本片导演在暴力与温顺之间把握了很是奥妙的平衡，是以片中并没有应用大量的暴力镜头和喷溅的血浆，却仍能让人脊背发凉。《通道》并没有把科幻场景大概灵异现象看成噱头，它更像是一部以剧中人物为主导的影片（就像《阴阳魔界》经常干的那样），一切的工作都源自人物的感情，履历以及决定，而这正是这部小本钱自力建造的电影所要展现给观众的——生活中我们所面临的最大的威胁常常就是我们自己。
