◎简 介
母亲的死让莎拉（朱丽娅·斯蒂尔斯 Julia Stiles 饰）不能不放弃了舞蹈的胡想，她单身来到了芝加哥，在那边，她名义上的父亲正期待着她。新生活来得如此之快，还没有走出失恃阴影的莎拉感得手足无措，就在她接近解体的边沿时，一个叫德里克（西恩·帕特里克·汤玛斯 Sean Patrick Thomas 饰）的黑人男孩出现在了她的身旁。
和莎拉一样，德里克对舞蹈有着狂烈的热情。德里克的开畅和悲观引领着莎拉渐渐走出了阴影重拾了舞蹈的热情，两人在一来一往当中也发生了灼热的豪情。可是，肤色的迥然分歧为两人的恋爱蒙上了阴影，他们要应战的不但仅是呆板守旧的社会，还有他们深爱着的亲人。
