身怀特技的青年阿天（托尼·贾 Tony Jaa 饰）生活在泰国一座安静的村子——巴都村，他自幼跟从徒弟进修泰拳。某晚，村中不成器的青年巴端打伤阿天的徒弟，并将村民们虔敬以待的佛像之首盗走。负担村民的嘱托和众望，阿天踏上寻觅巴端和佛首的门路。几经辗转，他找到在曼谷混事的同乡阿含莱，岂料对方只是一个见钱眼开的小混混，底子无意帮手，反而操纵阿天的身手在黑市拳台大赢利财。阿天在黑市拳台名震一方，不外他记忆犹新村中的佛首，仍一门心机清查。不成避免，他将与作恶多真个文物犯罪团体展开连番较劲……
本片荣获2004年第六届法国多维尔亚洲电影节“亚洲行动单元奖”和2003年Sitges – Catalonian国际电影节Orient Express奖。
