◎简 介
麦德林（汤姆?克鲁斯 Tom Cruise 饰）的父亲是个战功显赫的老飞翔员，他决心也要成为父亲那样的豪杰。终究他的机遇来了，他与军官古斯（安东尼?爱德华兹 Anthony Edwards 饰）一路被派到了高炮练习基地接管最严酷的飞翔练习。可是，麦德林的练习并不像料想中顺遂，他在空中总是惊慌失措，成就一向不满足，同学史奈德对他也很有微词。麦德林爱上了美丽的女教官查理（凯莉?麦吉祥斯 Kelly McGillis 饰），查理也渐渐爱上了有本性的麦德林，这令原本有些意气消沉的麦德林重新兴起了劲。教官在结业前的一次练习中，麦德林与同伴古斯同驾一机。由于马达发生故障，麦德林与古斯被迫跳海，成果古斯不幸身亡。此次事务给了麦德龙繁重的冲击，原本因学业不顺而闷闷不乐的麦德林加倍低沉了，他甚至已经想要放弃成为飞翔员的胡想。麦德林终极能否克服心障重回蓝天？
