◎简 介
飓风后的奥尔良，全城堕入瘫痪。当地的牢狱中，一切狱警和犯人已全数撤离，却有一个囚徒被忘记在这里。警官特伦斯?麦克多纳（尼古拉斯?凯奇 Nicolas Cage 饰）和同事放哨牢房时发现了他，特伦斯脱手互助。这个勇敢行为使他提升为中尉，但他的脊柱也遭到严重损伤，今后只能靠药物减缓疼痛。不竭加重的疼痛令各类药物落空效力，特伦斯在这一进程中饱受熬煎，他不得以乞助毒品，身材和经济状态都接近解体边沿，脾性也越来越糟。一个豪杰差人逐步出错。未几，城内发生一路灭门惨案，大毒枭达费特具有严重怀疑。特伦斯受命观察此案，在这一进程中，他耗费已久的知己逐步苏醒……
